The representative from the Center for Safety, Health, and Environment of Chulalongkorn University, Dr. Ong-art Thanetnit, participated as an instructor in the Chemical Society of Thailand's practical training workshop on Small-Scale Chemistry, led by Prof. Dr. Supawan Tantayanon, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. The workshops were conducted for school science teachers on July 19-20, 2023, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and on August 8–9, 2023, in Iligan City, The Philippines.

Small-Scale Chemistry experiments are considered techniques and tools that promote effective teaching and learning of chemistry. Due to their small-scale nature, they use minimal quantities of chemicals, reducing the generation of chemical waste from experiments and minimizing the risks of accidents related to chemical exposure. These experiments provided participants not only with knowledge of small-scale chemistry experimentation but also an understanding of basic chemical safety as well. This enhances teaching and learning processes in chemistry education, greatly benefiting middle and high school students.
