Certificate for Researchers Working in Chemical-Related Laboratories for the “90th Anniversary Chulalongkorn University Fund” Reimbursement
The Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment Committee of Chulalongkorn University, along with the Chemical Safety Committee of Chulalongkorn University, has approved the expansion of the use of the "Certificate for Researchers Working in Chemical-Related Laboratories " to also include graduate students receiving funding from the Graduate School. This initiative aims to establish a unified and standardized system across the university.
In this regard, the Center for Safety, Health, and Environment of Chulalongkorn University (SHECU) hereby announces the discontinuation of the "Certificate of Chemical Management" and its replacement with the "Certificate for Researchers Working in Chemical-Related Laboratories" This change will take effect from Tuesday, October 1, 2024, onwards.
Conditions for Obtaining the “Certificate for Researchers Working in Chemical-Related Laboratories”
Conditions for Obtaining the “Certificate for Researchers Working in Chemical-Related Laboratories” (1) (2)
1. Students conducting laboratory work must complete the Chemical Safety Training Course for Research Students and Researchers (For foreigners and international programs) (Click here).
2. Students conducting laboratory work must complete the Training on the Use of ChemTrack & WasteTrack 2016 Program for Chemical and Chemical Waste Data Management (Eng version: e-Learning) (Click here).
3. The laboratory where the student is conducting research must update its chemical data in the ChemTrack & WasteTrack software at least once every six months (Click here)
4. The laboratory where the student is conducting research must be registered in the CU Lab system and must submit an updated CU Lab Form for the year in which the certificate is being requested (Click here for details).
5. The laboratory where the student is conducting research must be registered in the ESPReL system and must complete the ESPReL Checklist.
(The ESPReL Checklist assessment results must be valid within one year from the date of the certificate application.)

(1) Based on the resolutions of The Chemical Safety Committee of Chulalongkorn University, Meeting No. 4/2023, held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, and The Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Committee of Chulalongkorn University, Meeting No. 3/2023, held on Friday, October 20, 2023.
(2) For Chulalongkorn University students conducting laboratory work outside the university, their academic advisor must submit a formal memorandum confirming the off-campus laboratory work to the Dean of the Graduate School.
